Summary: 2010 Annual Dinner Dance & Medal Presentation
Description: The Banner Ladies Football Club annual dinner dance recently took place at the beautiful Woodstock Golf and Country Club and there was lots to celebrate.

2009 was another successful year for the club with the senior team, captained by Sonya Maher, retaining the county Senior Title, while the Minor, U16 and U12 teams also managed to retain championship honours.

There was jubilant celebration and genuine admiration for our players who participated in securing the laurels for Clare in the All-Ireland Intermediate Championship title, captained by our own Louise Henchy. Also on the successful Clare team were Michele Delaney, Sarah Hoey, Niamh Keane, Louise Woods and Emma O’Driscoll.

Clare captain Louise Henchy was voted as TG4 Player of The Month for August last season and was nominated in the Ladies Football All-Star panel. She will accompany the All-Star panel to San Francisco in March of this year where they will play a series of challenges.

Niamh O’Dea’s star is still on the rise and this was recognised when she was awarded the Munster Young Player Of The Year. Other Banner Ladies players who helped secure the Munster Minor A title for Clare in 2009 (conceding the All-Ireland Final to Donegal) were Laurie Ryan, Sisters Niamh and Aoife Martin, Louise Woods, Katie Cahill, Niamh O'Dea, Shaonagh Enright, Naomi Carroll, Niamh Cavanagh and Niamh Walsh.

Orla Lynch and Emily Malone contributed to the county honours when they ably assisted in bringing home the U14B All-Ireland title for Clare.

An Cathaoirleach, Sonya Maher conveyed her gratitude to all the players, parents and volunteers and the committee for their outstanding contribution to the success of the club.
