Another major scalp in our club's history was taken in this game when the famed Sarsfields of Newbridge (home club of Dermot Early etc) were humbled by a magnificent performance from our girls.
Friday's lethargy was well shaken off and despite all girls having to rise at 7.00am to be at the Newbridge venue for a 9.30am start the team produced a brilliant performance of fast flowing football.
As with Balyna on Friday afternoon the Sarsfields were a much physically bigger and stronger team than our girls but they could not match the pace and skill of our girls.
Stringing fast passing movements together, especially flowing foot passes up both wings our girls cruised to a 4-4 to 0-0 win. This was easily the best football to date that this team has played and considering there was seven U-12's on the starting line up, with five U-13's this was truly a great performance and one the whole team can be immensely proud of.
